The teaching technique of Academia de Español has been implemented at several prestigious institutions in Mumbai such as at the British Institutes, NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), SCOFEL Study Center for Foreign Languages at Mithibhai College, and is presently teaching at École Mondiale, World School.

Academia de Español has been founded by Mr. Dinesh R. Govindani, an accredited language instructor with over 17 years teaching experience, fluent in Spanish, French, English, and Hindi. Mr. Govindani was born in Spain and is a native speaker of the Spanish language having taught Spanish and French for the past 17 years. Mr. Govindani has developed the textbooks Español en 24 Horas and Español Hecho Fácil which are used by the academy and can be applied to both the classroom and business setting.

According to the Instituto Cervantes, "Spanish is the official language in 21 countries and is a prominent vehicle of international communication in the fields of politics, economics and culture." Academia de Español prepares its students with the integral skills needed to work as translators and interpreters in diverse fields and offers its students the opportunity to experience academic and corporate life beyond the English-speaking world.

Instruction is comprised of teaching the Spanish alphabet, the definite and indefinite articles, nouns, prepositions, interrogatives, regular and irregular comparatives, direct and indirect object and subject pronouns, demonstrative adjectives, possessive adjectives and pronouns, regular and irregular verb conjugations in the following five tenses: the present indicative, present continuous, present perfect (past participle), future, and imperative.

Advanced Instruction is also offered in a more intensive format, designed to meet the needs of experienced students as well as companies, accommodating individual requirements of conversational Spanish for the corporate world, focusing on vocabulary and interactive conversational skills. "Business Spanish" classes, mainly geared towards executives who will be working in Spain, are also offered.
