Structure of the Courses.

1. Basic Certificate

Contents:

The Spanish alphabet, Definite and Indefinite articles, Nouns. Prepositions, Interrogatives, Regular and Irregular Comparatives, Direct and Indirect Object and Subject Pronouns, Demonstrative Adjectives, Possessive Adjectives and Pronouns and Regular and Irregular Verb Conjugations in the following 5 tenses: Present Indicative, Present Continuous, Present Perfect (Past Participle), Future and Imperative.

  • At the completion of the course, the student will be able to speak, read and write in the above 5 tenses.
  • Besides learning the basics of the Spanish language, we train them in the culture and tradition of Spain and Latin America.
  • While teaching we specifically train the students in the art of speaking with the proper accent.

2. Intermediate Certificate

Contents:

Reflexive Verbs, Conditional Tense in Present and in Past, Preterit Tense, Imperfect Tense, Subjunctive in Present and Imperfect Tense, Past Perfect, Preterit Perfect, Future Prefect, Conditional Perfect, and Subjunctive in Present and Past Perfect Tense all these Tenses in the group of ar, er, ir regular and irregular verbs.

  • At the completion of the course, the student will be able to speak, read and write in all the 16 tenses.

3. Advanced Certificate

Contents:

Special use of the Articles, Augmentatives and Diminutives & Suffixes, Idioms with different verbs, Conjunctions, Intransitive Verbs used as reflexives, Passive Voice, Prepositions with the Infinitive of all groups of verbs, Position of se, Prepositional Forms of the Personal Pronouns, Reciprocal Construction.

  • After completion of the 3rd level, the student will be able to translate, sub-title, and interpret from Spanish to English and vice-versa fluently.

4. Business Spanish

Contents:

The Spanish Basic Course, Terms used in Banking/ Marketing, Basic phone calls, Leaving messages, Making presentations, Comparing, Enquiring, Booking, selling techniques, Presenting a proposal , Selling a product to a client, to communicate confidently and effectively in a broad rang of everyday situations in a Spanish speaking country.

  • The student will be able to express himself in 5 tenses and be able to communicate with the counterpart.

Facilities at Academia De Español

  • For all courses students are provided with their text and exercise book.
  • An interactive audio-video CD containing the syllabus of each level.
  • Students have access to a library with a vast collection of text books, dictionaries, story books, grammar books etc… in Spanish.
  • A video tech facility with more than 20 different interactive programs which they can use with the laptop provided in the premises of Academia de Español.
  • Every week students are shown a Spanish movie with subtitles in English which can enhance their Spanish listening skills.
  • " At the completion of the course students have to write an exam. Based on their performance, certificates are given to the student by the institute which is government recognized.

Duration of the Course.

    This is a syllabus oriented course, not an hourly based course, but by our experience we require approximately 35 hours per level. Classes are conducted thrice a week and duration of each class is approx 2 hours. Each level can be completed in a time frame of one and a half months.
